What a weekend!

So I’ve just arrived home after attending Hobart’s second Etsy Made Local event. And what a weekend it was! There were 132 makers and we had over 9000 people through the venue. It was amazingly crazy.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who purchased a creation off me, to those who had a nice chat with me and to all the other makers. It was an amazing two day event and I’m now completely exhausted!

After taking a few days off I’ll be updating my Etsy store with new goodies that I showcased at the market. In the mean time you can admire my stall set up.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended the market and supported all the makers. You guys are the reason we do this and it really does mean a lot.

Thousand crane count: 100/1000

Thought I’d do a quick update on my goal to fold a thousand paper cranes. I dug around my cupboards and found the few origami cranes I folded over the years – nearly as long as I’ve stored all my pretty papers.

So my current count? 100/1000. That’s 10% done! Woo!

Most of those are also freshly folded. And goodness it doesn’t take long to improve. So of my older cranes I pulled out were terribly folded. Like REALLY bad. But I had to include them because they’ve been sitting around so long. But even comparing some of the first I folded this year to the ones I folded just the other day and there’s a noticeable improvement. I’m feeling less concerned about ruining the nice papers I’ve still got saved for later.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
